COLD TREATMENT 冷处理
Cold treatment (deep freezing) is not to be used as a routine practice for reducing the retained austenite content and improving the surface hardness of parts.These goals should be achieved with proper control of the surface carbon level. The process is specifically prohibited for all gears, unless authorized in writing by Product Engineering.When cold treatment is specified on the part drawing or permitted by Product Engineering for part salvage, hardened parts must be tempered at a minimum of 163°C (325°F) for one hour at temperature, cooled to ‑84°C (‑120°F), held at this part temperature for a minimum of one hour, and retempered within one hour at or above the original temperature to obtain the specified surface hardness.If liquid bath tempering is used, an intermediate warming to room temperature is required to minimize thermal shock.The resulting microstructure must not contain microcracks.
当工程图纸上指定或产品设计工程师授权允许进行冷处理时,零件必须在淬火后进行至少163°C (325°F)温度的回火,保温一个小时,然后在‑84°C (‑120°F)温度进行冷处理,并在这个温度至少保温一个小时,然后在高于开始的温度重新回火一个小时或以上,以获得要求的表面硬度。如果在水浴中重新回火,中间需要加热到室温保温一段时间,以使热冲击减少到最小,从而最后组织中不含有微观裂纹。
